Tropical Sunset Cruise
The two-hour Dolphin Encounter Cruise is offered each morning. Learn about Sarasota’s resident 120 bottlenose dolphins on this educational tour, which is narrated by a trained naturalist/marine biologist. Guaranteed dolphin or manatee sighting. If not, free passes for the entire party on any other regularly scheduled cruise. Relax with family and friends while you listen to Jimmy Buffett-style musicians and watch the sun set into the Gulf of Mexico.

We must meet a minimum passenger count to run the cruise. We take reservations for regularly scheduled cruises no more than 3 weeks in advance. All scheduled cruises are subject to change.
Holiday & Special Event Cruises
Relax with a drink in your hand as we cruise Sarasota Bay. You’ll feel like you’re on a mobile island, thanks to the real palm trees that adorn the top of the boat, adding an extra special tropical feel. Each Tropical Sunset Cruise lasts two hours. Rhythm on the Bay cruises depart at 2 p.m. Relax with a drink in your hand on an afternoon Rhythm on the Bay cruise around Sarasota Bay.
An Afternoon of Music on the Bay
We must meet a minimum passenger count to cruise. Plus, treat yourself to a tropical cocktail and order from our light fare menu. Maybe do a little dancing or jump on our conga line that magically appears from time to time. Enjoy a narrated Sightseeing Cruise combining Sarasotas abundant wildlife, a bit of history and spectacular shoreline homes, or a Dolphin Watch Cruise narrated by a naturalist/marine biologist.

Get a unique view of stunning waterfront homes and local wildlife that are both best seen by the water. All cruises depart from Marina Jack Plaza. Depending on the time of year and time of sunset. Boarding and entertainment begin one half hour prior to departure time.

Sit back and relax with a drink in your hand as we cruise around Sarasota Bay. Imagine you are on vacation listening to the sounds of a steel drum. Let the music take you away to the Rhythm on the Bay. We’ve been visiting Siesta Key since 2001 and this is the first sunset cruise that we’ve taken. There is a cash bar and light snacks and they too are very reasonable. You’ll have the chance to enjoy a drink and order something to eat if you’d like while listening to the narrator share history and fun facts about the Sarasota area.
Each Tropical Sunset Cruise features live entertainment and dancing, full bar, light-fare menu, and restrooms available onboard. A Sarasota Bay Explorers-trained marine biologist joins LeBarge Tropical Cruises to share information about local bottlenose dolphins and manatees. Sarasota Bay Explorers is a sister company to LeBarge and is located at Sarasota’s Mote Marine Laboratory.
